Early one spring after some rain, I found this on a washed out hillside. It was obviously a bulb and roots, but I wasn't sure what kind of flower it belonged to.

Then I found some more that were sprouting, and thought it must be Bluedicks. I got a confirmation of that on iNaturalist.

Seriously, I did not pull this up!

But of course I took photos! This is the bulb (or bulbs) at the end of the season.
