Amphibians - California Slender Salamander
Batrachoseps attenuatus
Because the California Slender Salamander is skinny, it can easily fit into earthworm and termite burrows to hunt. Also among its prey are mites, spiders, and snails. During dry months, it spends its time underground and in cool, moist, protected areas.
