Galls, Diseases, and Pests - Coyote Brush Stem Gall Moth
Gnorimoschema baccharisella
Eggs are laid on the stems of Coyote Brush, and overwinter on the bush. When the larvae hatch, they burrow into the growing branch and the gall grows around them. When a larva matures, it makes a hole in the gall, crawls through, and then drops to the ground to pupate.
