This is how trees go from Old and Broken to Cut! I saw this tree limb down on the Devil's Backbone Trail as I was headed down. As I got back up to the top to go around to the main trail, I met the tree-cutting crew heading down to clean up the mess.
And there's the crew, working to get the trail reopened.
Sometimes the stump gets a little shredding.
Hmmm. Looks like sweet potato shreds!
Sometimes the stacks of cut wood are neatly lined up.
And sometimes the stacks are a little more random.
This is the cut Aleppo Pine tree. I don't have any idea why it was cut down.
